Default DIY engine cover painting
I don't know about you guys, but a plain engine cover drives me nuts. So after messing around with a few ideas I went out and bought some silver engine block paint and started masking away at my engine cover...well hours and apparantly a few too many beers later this is what I came up with. Not bad, but a bit too much overspray from a lack of me being careful. But overall an easy mod to do to dress up your motor if your have a lack-luster modern engine....

Engine block paint + masking tape = win

Great job. It looks awesome. An easy & cheap mod that does a lot dress up your ride.

If you do decide to do it, PLEASE do a better masking job than me, overspray on ABS plastic is killer to get off, paint thinner won't get it off...gonna try a few different things to get it off...i may end up taping off the silver part really carefully and spray the rest black to cover the overspray lol. So good luck, it really easy a cheap and easy thing to do, but masking is a nightmare (especially the lettering...)
