Magneti Marelli
So as some of you guys know I work for Chrysler...
Just wanted to share some of the parts we now carry and stock. Soon all dealers will be carrying this high quality crap. IMO
Now instead of dealerships having to call say Napa, Auto zone, Parts depot etc to get maintenance items for non chrysler, jeep, dodge and fiat cars. We can now get our own maintenance items right in the back of the warehouse.
To me its a waste of time and space that could be used for larger more expenisve parts or parts we run out of fast. But hey its what Fiat wants. Not to mention our Fiat bulding is only been under construction for 3 weeks and its almost done. :ugh

I have had a few Italian motorcycles and still have a V10 Moto Guzzi. These bikes have used Magneti Marelli electronics and it has not been a positive experience. Being associated with Italian business is simply stupid. One 2002 bike I had actually had 1993 parts on it. The Magneti Marelli computer used on my present bike has a custom chip and a PCIII stacked on it to overcome the original stumble which the factory never could sort out.. IMO, sad...

And to add to that Fiat just bought out the governments 6% ownership and bought more stake in Chrysler, so no Fiat owns 52% of Chrysler!!!

At first I doubted you and didnt respond but after doing some research you are correct. I had no clue this happend. The union used to own 50% now they are like at 45% Orignally the government had more like 20% now they have under 1% This is pretty sad. Oh well ....

Yeah I read where just a little while ago they bought up about 16% or so so they had about a 46ish% stake in Chrysler, then they went and bought out the government so that 6% set them over the majority.
Fiats are selling so well overseas so they want to raise their profit outlook and buy more share in the American Market since it is starting to recover nicely.
