Question Where's all the classics
Don't get me wrong i'm not complaining all the members here have some awsome rides[quite jealous of a few] but the few classic guy's here are outnumbered i'm not quite sure where they are or why they have not come over but we are lonely here surrounded by all these fine newer mopars that aren't as technologically challenged as us classics are. Again not complaining just say'in.

I just signed up. I have a:
64 Valiant Signet, just a "roller" at this time.
65 Valiant 100, 2 door post, 170 slant six turbo charged
66 Valiant Signet, 225 slant six, two stage nitrous
66 Cuda, 170 slant six, nitrous fogger system.

The Cuda is street/strip. The the others are not street legal, though the 65 Valiant was my first street/strip slant six car. It was built in 1979. It is in the process of being refirbed.

Welcome Charrlie, The slant 6 is a great motor. Love the old Valiants.

Charrlie, What kind of HP are you getting out of the sixes?

Thanks for asking.

The only one I have had on the dyno, is the 66 Cuda. 358 ft/lbs torque, and 214 hp at the wheels. Street/strip, weight is 3250lbs, 170 cubes, lower 13's at 98 mph 1/4 mile.

66 Valiant was built on a $1500 budget, including car purchase, and runs mid 13's. with a new windshield and a couple of other upgrades, now about $2,000 in it. I think it will break into the 12's next time out. I have only run one stage of nitrous so far.

Built the 65 Valiant in 1979. It is being refurbished, and hopefully, will be back running in 2011. As a street/strip car has run 13.4's at 104 mph.
