Default Belltech street perf shocks
Will be buying a set from Gail at APH she has the best price around. These are for my lowered street truck, suppose to have a stiffer ride and better handling for the lower class citizens. Anybody here have any pros and cons?

I don't know anybody who has ever run them. Everybody that's lowered that I have known, swore by the Nitro Drop Shocks.

I been doing some googling on them, trying to find reviews and it's about 50/50. Some guys had them on less them 8 months and they blew, some guys say their the best thing since sliced bread.

I did some searching on both and it seems there application fits mine the best, I talked to a few that have had both and 1 liked the spongy side of toxic for there ride, I need a more stiffer ride cause of my rear leafs I feel like I bounce to much now. And I heard my kyb are close to the toxics.

Toxic may be softer than the Nitro's....I wonder how different Belltech builds the Nitros than they build the Street Performance ones.

And you're right, seems as though Pro Comp builds the Toxics so they are spongy. Maybe they do that to soften up the stiff ride alot of static trucks usually have.

Id you're ride sofy on all 4 corners or just the rear?

Here's some vendor quotes from other sites...

I personally prefer the Street Performance but not for the reason above.

I sell a great amount of Belltech shocks. Never had a Nitro Drop 2 come back under warranty. They do not ride as stiff at the Street Performance shocks though.

I do have the Nitro Actives and Nitro Drops come back under warranty time to time. But these shocks use an older shock technology.
The valving technology in the SP shocks is much better. Larger valving and new technology.

Then this off of Belltech's site...

Belltech Nitro Drop 2 Shock Absorbers
The completely new designed Nitro Drop 2 shocks bring a high performance blend of internal valve technology and state of the art construction at a price never seen before for your vehicle.

• OEM replacement with performance characteristics
• Cavitation free valve train avoids air from decreasing the shock absorbers effectiveness
• Dust boots and OE style rubber bushings offers maximum durability

Belltech Street Performance Shock Absorbers
Our engineers focused their attention on tuning the low speed compression characteristics of this shock absorber, which is responsible for controlling your Sport Truck or SUV’s pitch and roll, dive and squat to help keep you confident and in control. The “Progressive” rebound tuning will complement large aftermarket wheels, keeping the ride smooth but firm and in control.

• The ultimate in Premium Street Performance solution
• Vehicle specific applications
• Oversized Construction provides additional damping control
• 15mm piston rod, 35 mm piston and a 55 mm shock body
• Internal Teflon coated bushings and piston seals avoid metal to metal contact,
provides lowest possible friction resulting in long lasting performance
• Increase in handling and performance at maximum comfort
