Damn that was a good deal, I love 1911s. Closest thing I've shot that felt anything like one was a Beretta PX4 Full size .45. I keep trying to convince my brother he should carry one at work, but he seems to be set on a glock, because they make so much duty gear for them.

To be honest, I'd probably carry a glock if I was in law enforcement for that same reason. Maybe one of the Springfield XD's...

This is the second 1911 I own lol.
We have a Shooters Arms brand commander size 1911 at work I'm thinking about picking up too

Yeah I understand that too, but I just can't get over how they shoot. They do make the proper gear for the Beretta but since it's not mega popular it's still pretty expensive.

I've never been a fan of the looks or feel of any of the Glocks. I had a gen 4 26 on layaway at work around Christmas and the more I held it, the less I liked it.
I'll stick to my 1911's and wheel guns lol

I rented an XD at the range before, and i didnt hate that too much.

I had an XDm...hard to beat outta the box with match grade barrel and trigger. It was a 5.25" barrel and held 19 rounds in the mag and 1 in the gut. Needless to say it was a FULL size. Great gun though, hated to sell it.

That's a nice looking 1911, Mark. Hard to believe it only cost $260 and change. What brand is it?

Thanks Lee. It's just a Rock Island Armory that someone pawned and lost at my job.
There's been a few things I've wanted to try on my other 1911 but didn't want to screw it up so now I've got a new guinea pig for my ideas lol
