My next door neighbors house got struck by lightening wiping out all the att uverse in our edition. The 3g is so slow out here its not worth even trying to get online. There is no eta on when it will be fxed either. It seems att doesnt have their shit together. They have sent out 4 different people with 4 different possibilties and so 3 have failed. Dinks

Did the lightening just take out the phone lines or did it take out everything?

we have all fiber optics here and all i have is internet. that is all that was affected at my house. my neighbors hose was an electronic disaster. the a/c, fridge, all tv and gaming systems will have to be replaced. it threw some of my breakers but i am paranoid and have heavy duty surge protectors with battery back ups...

Storytime: All my power lines are above ground and we use to take hits all the time. Don't seem like we get hit much anymore. Anyway we usedthese power strips that the computers and phones were all plugged into. I came home one time and two of the power strips were burnt and pieces were blown all over the floor. Man I would have like to have been there for that one!
