Sounds like I should look into a mechless unit when I upgrade my stereo. I haven't put a CD in it in a couple years...all iPod. It sucks there is no aux jack though, I had to buy a scosche adaptor and use my DVD or SAT setting. It's been a pain because the the scosche adaptor has had to be reset a few times...matter of fact, it needs resetting right now.

I've been looking at HU's off and on for a few months now and I don't remember seeing any that stated they were mechless. However, after thinking about this, I am looking at DD HU's with Nav, DVD and the works. So this may not be for me.
