This project was supposed to be a simple one, went through a few head aches but ended up better than I thought.
Before:
Ordered some new LED tail lights for my 2002. As soon as they came in I took them over to the guy that painted my truck a few months ago. Picked them up several weeks later I installed them next day come to find I have bulb out. I'm like WTF ok so it turns out when I press the brake they don't light up brighter.
So I can't return them since they are custom painted so I ordered a new set and figure I'll just have them repainted. Well same thing they don't work though they are listed for 2002-2005 ram 1500 plug and play same as my old ones.
Ok returned those. So I start thinking maybe I'll just open up my old ones and switch out the leds into my new ones. Which I head is a nightmare so I did and I took my time. Once I got them both opened up I start thinking why not paint the insides then seal them back up and so I did. and here are the results.
