Could be the belt or there can be something wrong on the pulleys where the belt and pulley meet. Any sign of irregular wear on the belt? Some belt dressing might stop the screeching. Or you might need a new pulley(s)

Mine did that when I replaced the pulleys and if the belt isnt lined straight all the way around it would squeel. Hope this helps.

I would use some belt dressing or soap to see how that affects the squeal
