17"x 8" rims
Well i scored some 17's at a good price but I have a 4 hour drive to go get them. So I'm off to SC tomorrow early. I'll post some pic's when i get back. Man, if i could stack them on my motorcycle this would be a real fun trip. Hmm, let me think about this...

Good deal, Greg. You're a seasoned rider, you know that strapping those to the bike for a 4-hour ride would not be a good idea.

Very cool man, can't wait to see pics. I really want to get the hankook ventus ST's for my 17" ss/t wheels, or the Toyo Proxes or whatever they're called.

Looking at tire selection I'm thinking of using 275/55-17 in the category of summer high performance. Did a comparison and was surprised that the General Grabber came out on top with price, wieght, dry traction. Tire is 29 inches tall, with a 9" foot print. Should fit well under the fenders. SST wheels are very cool being 9" wide and light. Plus they look good. I found a set and the guy loaned one wheel out and lost it before I could pick them up. If I get a set of race wheels I will diffently look for a pair of SST's.

Very cool man, which General Grabbers? Might look into them as well. Are they the UHP's? I might just go with 275/55's as well. Was going to do 275/60's again but the lower profile would be nice!

Just came through the door, made good time down and back. Met with Limedust (John) and picked up the rims. They are really nice condition, I was going to try painting them, but to be honest these are too nice to mess with. I'll have to give it more thought.

Yes it was a smoking deal. I invited Limedust (John) to stop by the forum and check us out. He's a standup guy.
