Anybody else felt like this?
Feel like giving up on the truck. Just seem to be getting tired of the whole car scene again. Had this happen before, took a 3 month break then got back in it until september then took about a 5 month break and now I'm already tired about 2 months later. Don't feel the need to go to car shows and when I do I just get bored a little bit after. Plus trying to start a new car club isn't going that great since nobody wants to really participate minus Fox. Just seem to have more fun chilling at home in my room or anywhere pretty much doing nothing but texting people and being on facebook. Thinking about stopping the mods where they are and just leave the truck like it is. Maybe I'm just getting realistic and seeing what the planned mod money(around $7,000) can be spent better on since I'm getting closer to going to a university and the real world although college still isn't the real world. Maybe all my fun is catching up with me and I'm starting to face the consequences. They do say karma is a bitch. Maybe I just realized that I need to stop trying to please and impress others like I have been and just start pleasing myself and only myself. Maybe I realized I should just be content with my life now and try to start changing it and making it like I want it to be after college when I have a steady stream of income. Maybe in about 2 weeks I'll be out of this mood when my first real college semester is over and I have more stuff set in stone. Hopefully I am cause I love cars but just not feeling them right now. End rant for now I guess. Sorry about the venting

It happens bud...I had to take a break for a little while too. Maybe just do a little at a time and spread your time out a little better across your other interests. That way you don't get burnt out on one single thing you like to do.

I agree with Adam completely. I got "burnt out" about a year ago and took a 4 or 5 months hiatus (think it was 4 or 5 months)...it happens. One thing you could try is just not go all out 100% of the the time in the car scene. In other words, do a show every now and again and not on a regular basis. And definitely concentrate on school, financially and mentally, the car scene isn't going anywhere.

Sad to say, but I am kinda getting that feeling to... theres more important things in life right now I'd rather put my mind and time to. Maybe I'll feel better after I get my truck painted next month

Holy Smokes; it must be ME.... I just can't get enough of these type things. I'm still enjoying everything I go to and wish there were MORE. Had the car show in the morning and afternoon yesterday and then a cruise in all evening and I had a wonderful day and WISH something else was happenin' today!
Maybe it's 'cuz I'm OLD and got Nothing better to do ~LOL~

This is my take on the situation both of ya'll are still teenagers coming to the end of your highschool years and beginning your next chapter of your life, taking a break from one thing to do something else is perfictly natural, younger folks need to have assorted outlets in their lives so they don't become bored. I suggest you do some other things and do the car thing once and awhile if at all, concentrate on your education it will pay off in the future by getting you a career that you'll be able to make money to play with cars. I have grown bored and left the car scene several times since 1989 both times for years [never even uncovered my car in rhat time] went fishing during that time got bored with that and started playing with cars again. Notpaidfor i'm in your state of mind i love this stuff i enjoy every thing i go to and look forward to the next one, last weekend i went to rise and shine from 8-11 hauled ass to bob evans for a cruise in 11-2 went home, went to largo to pickup an 8 3/4 rear for the charger raced home, went to 50s diner for another cruise in 5-8 that was a full day.

i love car stuff. I've been doing it since 2001. Just the bad side is all the money i spent is crazy nuts. All the people I have met over the years thru all this car stuff I'd never want to replace. Heck I was in a wedding and invited to 2 sofar and I know of 2 more coming.
But you being so young spending money on schooling would be something better to do right now.
