For the price of a new GT i would buy it before any other new socalled muscle car plus with the amount of aftermarket applications you would have one hellofa hotrod, besides i don't like corvettes, vipers period. And a challenger [my favorite] is too expensive for what it is and the aftermarket is slim and expensive.

650hp + RWD Mustang = no traction. 530hp + AWD GT-R = 0-60 in 3.5sec. The look on a GT500 owners face when a 3.8L turbo V6 smokes them............................ priceless

You can pick up 2 year old GT-r's all day for $60k. Also your 9sec GTs are only good in a straight line. What about curves? You wouldn't want to drive your 9sec GT on a cross country road trip like you could a GT-r. The GT-r is just the complete package. I personally don't see the appeal of going fast in a straight line. Hell you can make any car quick in a straight line. I like cars that can take a turn at a decent speed

Your exactly right but the gtr is only about how much more than a gt 500? Somehow i fail to see a comparison we are talking about somewhat affordable muscle cars here i thought.Nick is right base gt with 10-12k invested and your in the 9s and still come out cheeper than a gt500,srt8 challenger, vette, viper.
