Yeah I know how they can be, we even tried to switch to Dish but the Dish guy said all our trees were in the way, so its our only option. Sucks living in the boonies sometimes.

I am sure you all remember America On Line (AOL), well we used to have them 12 years ago. We had dial up service. Well, lightning fried our dial up modem...so, I called their CS department and told them, hey, my modem is fried and I can no longer use the service and I need to cancel it. So, they put me through to their customer retention dept and they said, "wait sir, we value you as a customer, what we will do is give you a brand new external dial up modem and give you 3 free months of AOL service if you stay"....I was like ok...sure as hell, they shipped it to us and gave us 3 free months...LOL

How do you like Fios. Using Brighthouse right now. But, thinking of going Fios, not to bad price with the employee/retiree discount.

Software malfunction? I don't know but I decided I didn't want this stupid phone anymore. So I called Motorola to begin with. I told them the deal and specifically said I want to upgrade to the X2 free of charge because of the money I already spent and the trouble I've been through. All they said was that they would "repair" it if I sent it into them. If I did that, I would be without a phone for 2 weeks. I told them no I want a new phone and they wouldn't listen. So I told all 4 of the people what I thought of them and hung up. Next I called Verizon, told them the issue and that I wanted a new phone. Talked to probably 5 different people and they all told me sorry you can pay $200 for the X2 but we're not giving it to you. I also told them what I thought of them and transferred over to the people to cancel our contract. I told the lady what was going on and that they better cancel our contract for free or it's not gonna be good. I also told her about the phone I wanted. She put me on hold for a minute, came back and said ok you will have a Droid X2 on your doorstep by Friday free of charge. Sorry for any trouble caused. I told her thank you and congrats cause you just saved your company alot of bussiness. So all in all, I spent about 3 hours on the phone and got a X2 heading my way Seems like presistance pays off!

Watch your bill! Verizon tried to charge me for my "free phone" to the tune of $400.00 .I also told them they could have that piece of junk back and cancel the contract. this battle went on for 2 months and after several calls to them, they gave me the phone free. I will be glad when this contracts up!
