I think plastidip is a really neat product.
If allows you to apply it to something (i.e. a grill) and then you can spray paint over that (on top of the plastidip) and should you not like it, you can peel it right off, because the color you applied to the plastidip which you applied to the grill so you dont need to use any type of paint thinner and you dont need to sand and do all the body work....

That's why I'm using it. It's a lot more forgiving on you than paint would be. If I like my grill and bumpers black, I'll peel the pd off and paint or powdercoat them

To clarify, I don't have anything against plasti-dip, it is a neat product. And Daniel's analogy is a good one IMO. It allows you to change things without buying replacements. I'm certainly not going to put any on my truck, but to each his own.

I guess that stuff allows you to see what something will look like verses trying to guess what it would look like. To each their own, but I think it is not for me.

The back plate, yes. To add some black to tie them into the truck.

I had planned to pd my chrome wheels, that way I could sell the chrome wheels later as chrome sells faster, but I have no plans to mod or buy mods until I have black wheels and new tires, although I did pd a power capacitor and it looks super good, it's not as flat black as flat is but has alil gloss to it...only plastidip on my truck to date...And really that's inside lol

How do you take it off? Pressure wash? If it is temperory, do you have to be touching it up all the time?
