Smile From the Sponsor:
Well....HELLLOOOO out there!

I have been absent lately because I just have been so busy it wasn't even funny. Almost every single day after I got off of work, (after I settled vincenza down with something quiet) I was making phone calls, emails, etc (tried before 5pm everyday) with sponsors, vendors, companies for raffle tables, advertising, car show registrants wanting information, etc. This was literally monday - friday for months. In between all of that I was physically out at local car meets during the week handing out fliers like they were going out of style. Making sure Ed was announcing the event at every event he was at, talking to people about the event, explaining the purpose, who the title sponsors was, what my role in it was, etc. Even at shows we worked at as vendors, I would step away and put a flier in ever vehicle until I ran out. If I ran out of fliers, I made sure to drop the motoring tampa bay newspapers in their windows that had our flier in it. I wanted to make sure this show was done right. For all of our sake. It had both of our names on it and I refused to have this go down in flames. So my absence was needed.

As some of you may know I was drop kicked about 7 days before the show. After everyone already knew about it. Treats for Troops was dissolved. immediately. The only reason why I found out was because Glen Launey made a post about 4am, and I was able to get a glimse of it before Karin of TFT made him remove it. Karin never told me about this. If I wasn't up and working on the pc I would have never known. The woman never contacted me until finally 3 days before the event, and the only reason why she did was to ask me to remove my post on FB stating that TFT closed down and we are researching other charities. She did not want her name ruined. I am sure you knew how I reacted to that statement. Let's just say I left her a "nice" voicemail, stating the fact on how all of a sudden she now has my contact information. During all of this I already had a new charity and everything was worked out. (2 days of sweating) I had to make sure the money for this show was going somewhere where we all promised everyone. It was the peoples right to know where their money was going, and not in our pockets.

Anyway, everyone with SEM made an awesome contribution to the show. Even though kevin has been absent, he still rocked it on the mic for the trivia and awards. (all while being called an asshole all day) lol. Daniel created the fliers, Lee made the music, Jay helped with vendors and flier passouts, Uzz made all of those copies and saved the charity 100's of dollars, Heather was fantastic at the reg table, Jenna too - thank you ladies!! EVERYONE did a GREAT job at parking! It went smoothly, and respectfully. If I missed anyone I am so sorry...it;s a lot to take in.

90% of the buzz all over FB is "great show!" "do it again" "when's the next one?" All I can hope is you guys were pleased with it being your club was a title sponsor, I wanted this to go down in the History books for you. And now your club name is all over the internet, and hopefully it draws more attention to you guys.

I appreciate you letting me steer this show...and until next time!

- Jessica
