Added a magpul rear grip and a couple of new mags in OD green tonight and I've got a MI rail on the way in the same color

Birthday present from the wifey. Taurus PT1911 in 9mm

Ordered a set of Raasco grips for it too lol

Most of the Bushmaster AR's are chambered for both

NICE 1911!!

get one chambered in 5.56 as it can shoot both. the .223 version cant shoot 5.56 as it(5.56) is slightly (fractions of an inch) larger than the .223

Thanks Lee. I've been hearing that a lot lately lol

that is semi correct, if its chambered in 5.56 you can shoot both, if its chambered in .223 you can only shoot .223 as they(.223) are slightly smaller(fractions of an inch) than the 5.56.

you can shoot .223 from a 5.56 rifle, but it will be slightly less accurate, another thing to consider is the cheap russian ammo.

Make sure you buy the zinc plated steel cases and not the laquer coated ones as the laquer heats up when the casing expands upon firing and over time you casings wont eject and youll have problems.

brass is really the best way to go, but not exactly the cheapest.

the main reason being that the brass is softer than the steel and it expands to the chamber walls quicker and allows all the gasses to be sent forward allowing the rifle to cycle properly.
