Trying a NEW technique!!! ???

I was watching TruckU on TV about a week ago and they were talking about four wheel drive vehicles and all the driving thru all the mud. And... they said the 4x4 guys spray down their undercarriage with WD40 prior to taking it thru the mud and it is used to keep all the mud from sticking. And that WD40 has now got a "wide spray" bottle. And living on this dirt road I thought I'd give this a try. Many of you all probably knew about this but I did not. Anyhow, yesterday I bought a can and sprayed down the undercarriage on BLUE, so we'll see how this works.

It's true, guys do it. I don't know if it works but in theory it seems it would.

I used to spray the bottom/sides of my boat with light silicone lubricant before going in salt water.

Used to spray under carriage of vehicles in Maine to keep from I've forming and to prevent rust, neiyer worked great but mud falls right off.

I've never done it to my truck. Always washed it while the mud was still wet, but I do use that on our 4-wheelers when we're goin to a big mud ride over the weekend or something

Nascar guys use PAM spray on their grilles to keep the rubber from sticking to the mesh...I dont see why WD40 wouldnt work.

Sounds like a waste of money. Lol Just clean it right after you get back or put a rotating sprinkler head under the truck when done using it offroad.
