Wiregrass Show - 1/14/12

Wiregrass Mall is doing another show next month. They're spacing them out now instead of doing every month like they used to. This one is a daytime show, and once again, it's FREE. 50+ Trophies. Registration from 8a-12p, awards at 3. They're having another club participation award with $100 going to the winning club.

I'm planning on going, as I get out of work that morning at 7A, and I can shoot right over. Anyone else wanna go? We may be able to take club participation again!

These shows will be quarterly at wire grass now, let me check my satudays of work schedule, I hope to make it as that may be the last show before I move, that just means a cpl weeks of coarse....

Wow! just watched a video from the folks that do the Wire Grass show on how they judge the vehicles. Outstanding video. a must watch video to get pointers on what they look for. I enjoy these types of shows the most mainly because of the tuff judging. If you don't win, at least you know it's not be cause somebody's buddy, buddy got the win.........the Don Garlits show is basically don that way.

I too watched that video and agree that is a good way to know what they are looking for,however i beleve that the paint chips that were picked out were over the top these cars are driven not trailored so things happen. I personally have never had their judges even say hello to me [some times there were worse comments] when they came to judge my car. I'm not interested in trophys any longer after 20 plus years of this hobby [with an older cosmetic restoration i can't compete anyway] they used to be a priority many years ago [with a fresh built truck] but now just a day with my car and talking to other folks that is my enjoyment. Most of your car shows and cruiseins were and allways have been ran on the good ole boy method [no matter what they say, i have been doing this for over 20 years]. We here at the redneck garage have began to scale back on our outings with the cars [getting burnt out on car shows, plus we need to get the charger done] so on that note i most likley won't be there have fun ya'll see ya sooner or later somewhere or another.
