Default ignition key dinging
It seems lately I'm spending so much time sitting in the truck adjusting this and fiddling with that with the keys in the ignition I hear dinging in my sleep. I saw a post asking how to eliminate the seat belt ding and decided I would certainly eliminate the damn door ding. So I pulled the door cover, found the offending wires and cut one. wala, no dinging. Added a little rocker switch so I can enjoy the sound when I choose too.

If the light is on when i turn the switch off it goes into something like a 5 minute fade mode. If I have it turned off when the door opens the light stays off. I have the switch turned on, but flip it off if I'm just sitting with the door open.
