steering column shifter blank

Anyone have a good source for the cover on the steering column for a 03when the gear lever is removed? They use the one from a standard trans model, maybe from a 2500.

Thanks,

This post got a lot of interest, sic

But heres the update anyway, I got them from Art along with a extra trans lever and bracket. Haven't decide which shifter to use yet.

Pretty uninteresting, looks just like the ones eeveryone has but without the shift lever hole. I'll post some pictures when the floor shifter is installed. I found a B&M p/n 80797 that's a gate shifter with the cable exiting the rear that looks like it would make a good fit.

oh damn, you got me excited for a min there. do i hear a diy coming soon?

Simple stradegy, the 03 doesn't have trans shift support, so I'll just bang gears manually useing a shift lite to go by. Next year will be trans mods.

oh, alright. makes sense.

The only thing that might be of interest is I'm thinking of building an aluminum box to mount and position the shifter higher. I did the same thing on a prostreet ride I built 25 years ago and it had a good look to it.
