Well, I had to get rid of Smokedram a couple weeks ago. Needed more room for the family. It took me a couple weeks to finally come to the conclusion that getting rid of the truck was something I really felt comfy doing and after praying about it, I found myself on dealers' websites, shopping.
I had already set it in stone that I would be getting a Kia, something about them lured me to the manufacturer strongly. And I really wanted a crossover SUV and the price to option ratio of the Kia, was surely better then GM, Ford or Mopar could offer.
I went ahead and bought a brand spanking new 2014 Kia Sportage.
The little GDi four cylinder is pretty nice, makes 182 HP...has a touchscreen Sirius head unit with Blutooth that can store up to 1gigs of music in it's hard drive should I not want it to read from my phone or use the USB hook ups. Has the UVO system in it, with reverse camera. Projector headlamps with LED's all the way around.
Came with a 10 year/100,000 power train warranty, 5 year/60,000 mile bumper to bumper, 5 year/100,000 anti-perforation warranty, 5 years/60,000 mile Kia Roadside Assistance plan.
I opted to extend the bumper to bumper to 10 years/100,000 miles with a $50 deductible and bought the 5 year/60,000 Kia service plan.
I am really impressed with Kia after really taking a good look at their offerings, so this is where I decided to go.
Honestly, I rarely used the truck as a TRUCK anyway.
