i had almost the same thing an they gave me steroid pills an pain killer for it

the steroid was dexamethason the pain went away an swelling went down in 2 hours

Thanks, i'm enduring this crap without meds i have good weeks and several bad days then weeks again . Unfortunatly no VA doctors seem to have a clue how to proceed except cortizone shots which only mask the problem i want it fixed if possible,but i think it's degenerative joint disease so there is no fix only pain relief i suppose.

No i'll tough it out till i can't take it no more or it don't go away , i have had several good days so far but i'm certan it will come back with in the next 5 days it normally goes 10-15 days between flare ups.
