in the light of our show on saturday, i noticed i need some umph under my hood, other than a hemi swap LOL, so i started looking for dress up kits and the like, well theres nothing for a 4.7l so to get me by im going to add some color, and for me to add the color of choice i'd need to paint my valve covers, well unless i want a common color theres no way i can do that, so what i have devised is a plan to make a valve cover and coil "cover" similar to the srt8 cover they offer, it may take me a little bit but im gonna try it...i think it would make the bay look better and then i can paint it the color i wish to match what ever color i choose to paint the intake tube and some other small things just to give it some pizzaz with out riceburner appeal....

yesterday I made up some cardboard templates, and cut the driverside one, i need to buy some flashing benders to do my edges, to be able to fold them, drill holes for mounting, and paint them, should have the pass side cut today hopefully...

so what do you plan on dressin up? valve covers and hoses maybe some wire looms? what color are you goin for on the valve covers? i was thinkin a bright red like the viper motors. i figured you could just cover the engine bay with a plastic drop cloth and tape off the valve covers and spray them with caliper paint.

im making some "half covers" custom fit for my 4.7l similar to whats in the pics for the srt 8, and yes im going with a nice vibrant red, not to much so it looks ricer but enough to look good...
