One Led has been out for a few weeks, now half of it is out for good.

For a Cheap Auto Zone light bar, 3 years is pretty Good. Infact its exactly 3 years I bought my truck right before the 1st and my very first mod was the light bar.

Moving on to a Recon one now. Just going to stick with a line of fire no need for the white reverse.

Cheapest I could find is on ebay

$59.95 Shipped to my door no tax. :)

Yea, I never been a fan of the white reverse light one...

Besides, you wouldnt see it with my reverse lights they are so blinding...lol

I tried using our coupon code which worked, then tried cumminsforum which was more but still recons site couldnt beat ebays. Plus shipping for recon was 15 bucks. This was the cheapest on the web I could find.

that is where I got mine from was recon and i got them shipped free and I haven't had any trouble with mine but the guy I talked to there told me to take clear silicone dab up the ends to help keep moisture out. but I like them and have had them for about 3 years.

blackshadow, they say the light bar is fully sealed. So your saying the ends arent closed? If so no problem, I'll just use some black atf rtv.

Awesome, shees a keeper. From what I've read they arent even that bright. Thats why I didnt get the white reverse. However I'm planning on adding some extra reverse lights to help me out with the window tint issue.

i may have to the same even though i dont want to....i have a sleek streamline image, and i feel lights hangin might interfere with that look....

Jay from experiance, dont use the 3M stuff they fall off after a few months. I took those pads off and mounted them with some self tapping screws.

leds are bright but dont put off a lot of light. they seem bright to people when looking at the but when using them for light they come up way short

03 Rammer

true, They were crap when I did my replacements for my cargo and reverse lights they were bright but light output sucked. However these line of fires are bright and have a lot of light output. Also the Recon ones have a larger led than most cheaper ones.

thats cool, i compared led flash light to reg halogen ones and the leds lost big time when you went out more than a few feet

Got the new Recon light bar in today and installed. I have to say Im pretty impressed. High quality stuff compared to the cheaper one I took off. Also like that the the bar is black instead of red like the old one. And not to forget it is Brighter than the old one!

those other holes were from previous owner guess he had one too. Neither of my light bars matched up to those holes, plus they seamed to high. Mine is probably about 3/4 inch above the bumper.

yeah i could have prolly got away with it just a lil higher like you have, but i went to center it up on the gap and its to high, then i didnt wanna sit and play with it on where was perfect, so i put the rod in the hole for the spare tire let it sit put the light bar on top and secured it there....

03 Rammer
01-05-2011, 08:10 PM
I took the plastic ring off of the spare tire hole that way the bar could sit flush.

They are supposed to be sealed but they were having some issues with moisture so the guy told me to dab up the ends with some silicone just to be on the safe side so I did it before I installed it and i haven't had any problems so far. sorry I took so long to respond.

blackshadow
01-06-2011, 11:29 AM
I put mine right over the hole as I don't use the the spare tire whole anyway,I wanted it centered.

I have a different brand ~ bought it used ~ that's a THREE piece set up for the rear. The left and right side are turn signals & brakes and the center is just a running light. YOU just plug these in together and comes with the plug for a trailer wiring harness. I want to put this on the bottom of my hatch on my magnum IF possible!
