Tee and I just got our Christmas PRESENT!!!

Tee and I had been talking for awhile and the only thing Both of US wanted fro Christmas was a laptop, especially so we could both be on the computer. I wanted a 52" laptop, however they said they don't have one that big ~ LOL~ I'm OLD and needed all the help seeing I could get. Seriously though after looking at several at different places we ended up buying a Toshiba L657D, 17.3", 4GB memory and 320 hard drive. It was on sale too!

Luckily we already had a Belkin router and Tee is over there playin' with it now. We really love it.

I have never used any anti virus....

Its easy to avoid viruses.....dont download anything from anyone you dont know, and dont ever use IE...

IE is a GATEWAY for Sickness....

and also, if you use Google Chrome, it has built in Anti-virus

I use Google Chrome on my laptop and desktop...all the kids laptops that they got for Christmas I removed McAffee and installed Avast and DL'd Chrome...I love Chrome... the youtube virus got through McAffee on our Dell Laptop, Avast got rid of it for us...even AVG is pretty good, but I like Avast better than AVG.

Toshiba computers are the bomb I have and still have one. One that is like 4 years old and still running strong. The one I still have is just as good as the hp and bought it for 400 bucks. Runs like a champ!

Ours has Norton anti virus on it.... Is AVAST FREE and If so, how do I get this?

Tee and I went to Wal Mart but all the inexpensive ones were sold out; only stock they really had was $799 and up ~ NO way!
We stopped in Office Depot and they had these (Only two left), reduced by $150 = instant savings, so it cost $499 + tax. I thought that was a pretty decent price! Normally it cost $649.99. And NO rainchecks!!!

Yes Avast is free...go to www.avast.com and get the free version...then ditch Internet Explorer and download Google Chrome and use it for your browser...

Get rid of Norton, it's worse than Mcaffee IMO. Slows the computer waay down.

We use webroot my youngest is the computer guru he swears by by webroot.He has been modding his computer and lou jr got a small laptop for school all are on webroot.
