I Did some research and testing at work today. And found something out I thought you guys would like to know.
Stock, I have hood shock Part Number 55276321AA-AC.
Come to find out that the newer shocks off of 07-10,Part number 55372200AA. FITS!!!
Ok so whats the BIG DEAL you might be saying??? :hmm:
I'm sharing this because the price of the ...321aa is about 45 bucks each and the ...200aa is 20 bucks each!
So thats a savings of 50 BUCKS. Extra money for fuel or whatever...NICE!

Good heads up for the 3rd gen fellas....
I just had to buy some...
Napa carries the stock OEM replacement and they are 31 bucks each.
They work great too! I just replaced one (because they didnt have 2 in) and with the one new shock, the hood lifts all the way up on its own...lol Just ask Jay!

I have NEVER bought anything here.... but from what I read on forums there is a company called "Rock Auto" that has very reasonable parts. Dennis, (D-Lash), just bought new struts for his magnum for $10 each plus shipping = $30!

Rock Auto has always had a very solid reputation.
I need to get a set of the lifters for my Grand Cherokee rear hatch. Any mornings below about 55* and the hatch comes straight down and whacks me on the head.
I'm sure I killed them faster because I rigged a gun rack in the rear window of the Jeep and had the weight of a shotgun and a .22 on there a good bit this fall.
