Our house sucks when it gets this cold...it is one of Zephyrhills historical houses as it was built in 1910...we still have the jallousy(spelling) windows in it...11 in the living room alone...they seal up like crap...

Don't feel bad i own a mobile home, hotter than a half fu--ed fox in a forest fire in the summer and colder than a witches tit in a brass bra in the winter.[ I do have central air and heat use the air but not the heat too cheap]

SmokedRam
12-01-2010, 08:07 PM
If it werent for my kids I wouldnt use the heat either to be totally honest...our power bill sky rockets trying to warm the house...the interior walls are not insulated and that combined with the windows it make it hard for the heater to warm the house...we easily go from $260 a month in the Summer to $350 a month in the Winter...

Your winter bill IS my summer bill most months till it cools down at night then ac only during daytime. Can't afford heat lotsa blankets.

WHOA!!!! My mom, she has a double wide...manufactured in 1979...her power bill runs $90 in the summer....this month her bill was like $35 since her power company is a CO-OP...they return profit to the customers every December...

SmokedRam
12-01-2010, 08:23 PM
Yeah not here...like here in the city they are divided up in specific zones...most of the county is WREC and most of the city is Progress Energy...but like Allen Rd is all Progress, but right across the street is WREC...Dade City is mostly TECO or WREC....

SmokedRam
12-01-2010, 08:38 PM
I dont think I would have gas in a mobile home...growing up we always lived in mobile homes...we had one burn down...lost everything we had my freshman year of high school...literally burnt to the frame in less than 10 mins...not saying it cant happen in a house, but after living in a house the last 3 years, I never see mylsef in another mobile...

SmokedRam
12-01-2010, 09:23 PM
shoot...the department manager gave us some pocket warmer things one year...those thngs are good....I'm glad that 99.5% of my time is spent in a heated office rather than out there anymore.

03 Rammer
12-01-2010, 09:34 PM
yeah our warehouse has ac and heated, but they usually just turn off the ac in the winter time. All of our offices are in the warehouse. lol

SmokedRam
12-01-2010, 09:38 PM
Our warehouse doesnt have jack for climate control...not even fans to circulate the air...add to the fact there are 9 forklifts driving through it 24/7 the summer can get down right nasty.

I know that feeling well lol----I drove back from Vegas in my 340 duster with the heater removed in Dec., years ago...(you don't need a heater in Vegas)
Man it got cold --so cold my feet were num everytime I had to stop for gas ..I had a comforter rapped around me while driving , only helped a little.---2 1/2 days to get from there to Va....Almost non stop drivng ---beleive me I will never do that again....
