I'm gathering the parts to lift my ram as of today i have a Rough Country 2 1/2 lift with shocks, new balljoints, front axle u joints and a D.T. Fab aftermarket track bar. I'm very impressed with the sheer size of this part [painted the rod red to match the theme of the truck]. I will be doing a DIY on the installation of everything [non edited] i was gonna get new tie rods but Dodge Offroad is designing a single steer kit so i'm waiting for that. Thats the axle end by my shoe [size 10].

I went with a 2.5 cauze my wife and i are old and she already struggles to climb in plus if i want to go higher i just add coils and bigger blocks, new [adjustable] control arms. Basicly i just wanted to get enough room to clear 33's that are wider to fill those flares. But i'm getting the itch for more modding in the suspension dept.

I'm researching information on upgrading the tierods to 98.5 3500 1 ton steering,i have been reading that many people are unhappy with the hiem joint type upgrade for daily drivers they tend to get sloppy. Supposedly the earlier tie rods [taper] fit the later spindles i just have to swap out the pittman arm tie rod end, i think i have got all the part numbers i need we'll see.

A 2.5" lift is sufficient enough to improve the ground clearance of your rig. You can add rock sliders with steps so that it will be easy to enter and exit on your truck

I'm happy with 33s and a small lift i don't offroad so i don't need anything taller.
