Daniel's 300C Mod Log

Well I started a new job last month and I now have a pretty decent daily commute, and I had been pondering the idea of selling the truck. It wasnt getting driven much anymore (The avenger got 50K in a little over 2 years, the truck only about 15K). So I had been keeping an eye out for deals and looking around.

Well I finally found one worth checking out this week. So I jumped on it. I got a pretty good deal, way below blue book value.

So I would like to introduce my 2006 Chrysler 300 C. It has ALL the options. Stuff I didn't even know they put on cars (the damn side mirrors aim down when you reverse FFS). Its gonna take awhile to figure out all these gadgets!

Go figure as soon as I leave the dealer I get called in to work, so I didn't get very good pictures but here is what I took today when I got home. You can bet on more tomorrow.

Great looking ride. We have only had our 300SRT almost two months and love them both. Both of ours are SRTs ~ I love all the options on these. I believe you'll love that car!

Thanks yall! Ive been a little busy with work so I haven't had much time to update.

Got a black billet pistol grip shifter from ebay.

Also got a new radar detector and a mirror mount. Then ordered a small stealth cord which taps power from the mirror, so there is no wire going anywhere.

I did get HIDs but unfortunately got a ballast that was not waterproof, found that out yesterday with all the rain we had, so I am working on a replacement for that.

I also got some weathertech floor mats but I didn't grab a picture, I am also waiting on my dash mat to get here, and I am getting my neighbor to price out some Katzkin seat covers, as he is a dealer so he will hook me up with the best price on those.

So far I am loving this thing!

Some nice mods you have going on there. My 06 SRT has EVERY mod on it already that I would buy EXCEPT I put a Hurst shifter and emblem on it. It already have everything else from previous owner... and I"m NOT kidding!

Sorry for not updating, works been crazy these past few weeks and will be until the end of January.

The only thing I have done since the last update is I removed the side molding and the Upper Chrome window trim. Ill get yall some updated pictures once I have a chance to wash the darn thing lol.

I have some ideas for the front end and plans for some wheels once I pay off the loan, but probably not much else in between.

Added a Kicker Comp 12 and Kicker DX250 amp today. Now I need to insulate the trunk, it rattles like a mofo.

Installed the Fatmat Today, It still rattles.

I think its the entire rear bumper cover rattling. Not sure what to do about that....

I also installed the bass control knob up front. Ran the wire from the center console under the passenger seat, then through the side kick panels, under the rear seat, and then into the trunk.

Forget about it, that's how you fix it. Sweet fix tho. I need a knob, for diff types of music.

I was reading that there is a plastic support inside the bumper cover that rests on top of the actual metal bumper. That may be what is causing the rattling. I may take the cover off and try to see what I can do with it.

The knob is a must have, no more going through menus to fine tune the bass.

You could add double sided 3m to make it not move or gray weather strip to add thickness so it doesn't rattle.

I actually read some people were cutting a Pool Noodle in half and wedging it in there. Might try that. I do have a bunch of FatMat left over I could use that too.

Thanks guys, Turns out I am going to be putting these on a lot sooner than planned. I picked up a nail in the sidewall of one of my tires so these will be going on tomorrow.

It doesn't make much sense replacing a tire that is gonna be replaced anyway, might as well get this over with lol.

So far so good. Great traction in the rain, nice and smooth. Got them on sale and im pleased with them.

One thing I noticed yesterday is on the highway they are kinda noisy, bit of a tradeoff for the extra grip.

Not bad at all, just a little louder than your average passenger car tires. Nothing like truck tires.
