I have finally gotten to the point where my red ram is photogenic enough to do a shoot. I have been working on this thing for the short time i have had it to get it to this point it ain't perfict but it's good enough for what it is. I have done a complete tuneup,CAI,wheels/tires,removed the entire interior and scrubbed it then reinstalled, painted almost the entire undercarrage, fixed the spare tire holder reinstalled the spare. Added a cb radio, trailer brake controller, removed the old catback exhaust and added a new single chamber catback custom exhaust. Still gotta rebuild the front suspension, replace shocks,u joints, rear brakes, steering box and add fender flares [to cover the rust coming thru the fender lips, yankee truck] then i should be done.

Thanks Kevin there are rust issues that are going to be coming out in the future im afraid but they make replacement sheet metal and parts are redily available. It ain't my old dually by any means but i do like the way it drives and im stuck on this body style.

Thanks John i have only had this truck for several months it was in good shape when i got it just filthy inside and out, took alot of elbow grease to get it to this point and i do like it. It does need more love and a repaint [someone did a respray and did not prep it correctly] clearcoat has acne all over the roof/hood.

I'll tell you what Lou you did a fantastic job of cleaning it up. As far as the paint that's normal Dodge clearcoat. Mine a 2000 and paint perfect but it's been in a garage for all 12 yr or it would have done the same thing.

I know what you mean I was lookjng at a new Dodge Ram with a Cummin and the price really makes you think twice about it. Even the used one are high as hell.

Yep any one of the big three heavyduty diesel trucks are way up in price,in this economy you COULD buy a house cheeper than any one of those trucks pretty sad if you know what i mean.

You got that right the problem is when you go to look at one they put every option in the book in them to get that price up. All I wanted was a bear bone not heavy opted one to pull a car trailer with and they look at you like you are stupid for not wanting all the opt.

Thank you,Came real close to buying an 89 Ramcharger but it was not running right and it scared me thought it might end up a money pit. There was another ramcharger in inverness but i did not want to travel that far to look and be dissapointed again the first one was in lakeland.

Those RAMCHARGERS are sharp trucks it's just hard to find a good used one that doesn't need alot of work unless you find 2 wheel drive one.

Absolutley the one in lakeland was a 4x4 not too bad bodywise and the interior was really good buy it had a 360 crate transplant and ran very rough [could have been cold natured or messed up carb] thats what scared me plus i would have had to drive it [or have it towed] like it was from Lakeland. The one in Inverness was newer and lifted bigger tires [35s] looked much better than the other but after the last one wasnot worth the risk.
