I had a lot of issues but not the light out indicator. I bought resistor harnesses, cancelers and a relay. The relay fixed my issues. I'll bring the extra parts on Saturday in case there's something you can use to fix your light out indicator. My guess is you'll need resistors.

That's what I was thinking, the caps work for flicker, but I think I need to trick the computer, and really the only way is resistors...

That's odd that you need caps and resistors. I have mine plugged directly in for years and never have flicker or a lamp out.

x2

All I have is the caps, try turning your brights on and off, sometimes it will think those are out until you do, just a hunch.

Nope, just low beam hid, I think that's why I'm getting this lamp out light

Yup yo need to have the dinky halogen highs for that to work without resistors, i would get those before i get resistors, resistors get really hot.

im glad the 4th gens don't have that. I just have the relay kit and caps for flicker.

As long as you get the orange metal resistors and put them in the same place as mine are you'll be set.

I have those resistors built on harnesses if you want them Jay. You could cut the harness plugs off if they are different plugs, which I believe they are.

Mine would not work properly with resistors and/or cancelers. The relay alone did the trick for me. Of course I didn't know that until after I bought cancelers and resistors. I believe the '06 CANbus system is different than '02 to '05 though.

this is what i bought....

http://www.hidextra.com/capacitor%20cancellor

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W

i got the 35w 6000k lowbeam kit

Now what yall are saying is.....I need a halogen bulb(Daniel), or resistors(kevin and my thoughts)Lee i think im just misunderstanding ya lol, thats why i posted my links not sure what you have for resistor packs....

Im thinking cause there is no high beam bulb or resistance thereof, i need something to trick my system to think theres a light there. I hate to buy another set of bulbs Im wondering if i can trick it some way....

from what i am learning, i need a resistor on my low and high side which equals 4 resistors, 50w 6 ohm.

Lee what exactly do you have?....

4XLGator
04-19-2012, 06:43 PM
I have the orange resistors just like Kevin has, except they are made with a plug & play harness. The idea is that they do not have to be hard wired...easy peasy lemon squeezy!

There are (2) harnesses, one for each side. Each harness has (2) resistors.

But, I found 3 cancelers and the other relay harness I didn't use. Maybe I did use the resistor harnesses. Grrr! This is making me crazy...I tried so many different things I can't remember what exactly I ended up using. #oldageisabitch

from weedahoe:
(TrickedOut DodgeRam) All you need are the resistors. You dont need the caps. Buy ebay item number 140637518824 and plug them in on both sides. Nothing wkll plug into the one on the pass side. The HID harness will plug into the one on the drivers side.

similar to what Lee has offered up to me, from what i understand i need these on both sides hi and low beam, but im confused at the nothing plugs in on pass side, and hid harness on driverside...

And yes Jay, that is the same brand resistor harnesses I have. The difference is the connectors for different bulb types between my year truck and yours.
