Installed the tci shifter, I have a before an after shot, There has been installs made in the past that was given lower gear selection, an issue. d,3. no 2-1st. And vise versa. I installed the shifter and manually shifted the transmission into 1st, then selected 1st on the tci shifter, hooked up the linkage with no problems. As far as torque, I tightened as much force as I used too loosen, no binding and also no problemsA special thanks too Matt and his experience with locking plastic parts..Here are the pix

flush? I shit outside these days! I'm loving the shifter, the grill went in without pulling the bumper! I did the sides first then picked a side and started in on one tab at a time. after two popped they all went all of a sudden. I'm like cool. Readjusted a tad lower and now it's rocking! Shifter looks good I think.

Btw, this is in mo way a competition thread between nick's ride and mine, clearly silver has the better ride. Just want too make that perfectly clear. I could of used better a better title, oh well!
I was a little bored with the nice weather, I decided too install the cai, and a newer t-shift handle.

So this is it for awhile, I found quite a bit of cancer on the hood front and underneath. bubbling the paint, prolly 'bout 200.00 bucks worth of body work, I'm getting another hood, (fiberglass). But this is the last spot in the license plate saga. Put on a chin spoiler as well. Pix!

The more I look at the pics the more I think he is joking around. I can't imagine anyone would drill more holes in a bumper than needed and then make them crooked too.

The original holes in the center were drilled crooked, I can't help that, yet. SO I did drill off the side two more holes, (knowing full well I'm gonna be filling holes in the center anyways, ). My thinking is straight is better than crooked, so It's there on the side ......not crooked in the center. My work is in another town, and the cops there are douchebags to say the least. So it was keep it crooked, or try some shit out, Well I'm trying some shit out. I've gotten mixed reveiws. Some like it, others (like you jason and nick, not so much). Which is cool. It aint permanent. The bumper needs work, thanks too the dealer, and the cock eyed salesperson. I have a bigger issue with cancer on the hood.......shits bublin from underneath.......not good. So before I get the bumper fixed, I need a hood, fiberglass, and then I can get the lemans stripes, the hood painted. And then finally a fucking license plate bracket. Mounted straight, of course.

I totally agree that straight would look better than crooked, but what you got going on now looks crooked. So you ended up with crooked and off to the side.
Naw, I measured and lined it up, thats not crooked , I agree it's a hack job, (for now) but It's not crooked, It could be the trimming I did on the plate.........hmmmm.

u do know the drilless bracket would have covered the holes in the middle right? now u look like an evo...

and the bumpers have little tiny holes already pre drilled from the factory so its hard to believe they are in fact crooked

shadow11
03-24-2012, 11:52 AM
Instead of drilling more holes off to the side why didn't you just drill another hole where its supposed to go to make it straight??

Hate to burst your bubble, but the reveal is larger on one side of the top of the plate than the other. It is crooked. Look for yourself right here.

The trim work is the culprit, the holes, are lined up with the bumper's line. It still is shit, i agree. and will make better.

Did this ever get fixed? I was wondering what the final placement of the plate looks like.

Well, sorta......I haven't got any complaints....but I also ran out of money, job was reclassified cutting my pay nearly in half......I have more time at home, which is a good thing, but little money fer mods. I guess the last thing I'll do for this car is racing stripes, lemans style. I lowered and and moved it too the right even more.
