Went ahead and joined the band wagon with this one. Got the OBD2 bluetooth adapter on Ebay for 20 bucks and bought the app for 4.95.

Got to say I am impressed even though I have no clue what to do lol

I got the guages all set up and did some data logging.

My truck makes 611hp and 1065tq! :)

Even if you dont know all the techinacal terms with the cars ECM etc etc. The app is very easy to understand and figure out what your doing.

Basically bought it to have a cheap but advance scanner since I and a buddy work on alot of cars on the side.

Does your truck honestly make 611hp and 1065tq, or is that just what the new gadget says? I thought you were running a stock tranny.

I wonder how accurate the app/OBD BT Connector is...

Thats cool tho!

There is no info built into the OBDII system that tells you Horsepower or Torque, so your phone must be guessing at it using the accelerometer, im guessing by having you floor it from a dead stop. Its not at all accurate.

Yeah I dont feel a 100% confident with this yet. It says its uses weight cubic inch of the motor and some sort of info from the ecm Would be nice to get a few buddies to do a dyno day and fine out what I really have and then figure out the app

When I used the HyperShit for a Dyno the numbers were very close. Everything was, Temps, Speed, 0-60. Mine wasnt BT but it was a programmer nonetheless. I can see your cummins easily having that much power

^ They absolutely can have that much power...with the right mods, which will cost in the $6000 to $8000 range.

My friends truck has as much horsepower as your talking about Lee and he has nowhere near that amount of money into it. ;) But then again he is a Diesel engine tech.

Being a diesel tech certainly gives him an upper hand. My pricing includes labor costs for the major upgrades.

He's my goto guy on anything I do with my truck. Alot of the stuff I do myself. But when it comes to engine work etc He's my man.

I have Torque to and havent used it much lately because it pissed me off lol

The 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are bs if you ask me. I need to figure out exactly what my truck weighs so it'll do an accurate dyno.
