I don't like the blacked out look but in this case it looks much better the lights on your bull bar were lost with the chrome but now they are standing out great work.

Thanks, Guys/Gals

I have been twirling with the idea for a few months now and decided to give it a try. I didnt want to use actual paint on this since this grill is no longer produced, and the ones that are still out there similar are going for 500-800 bucks OUCH!!!

Next up is a warranty claim on the lights and bar for the paint coming off and yellowing of the lens and some rust spots on the bar. Gotta love KC's 23 year No questions asked warranty.

That looks good! I wish I had the color matched grille like that. I hate all the crome on mine.

I found a used grille and had it painted to replace my chrome one, it was pretty simple and relatively cheap.

Drew, easily you can paint over chrome thats what I did lol Used Plasti Dip. Make sure to use about 4-5 coats of it. There are youtube videos of how to use it properly. Which I found out after the fact.

100% agree with you, cant wait to get it back. Since the tow hooks are off, I'm going to get my M style tow hooks powdercoated. I would do it myself just dont have a sandblaster.

My buddies at work tease me and say to not put the bar back on that it looks better. F them lol They have no clue how many times I actually use it. Stupid city boys. :)

Lol i know that, but my grill is chrome all the way. I thought about plastic dipping it like yours before but you have the color matched grill surround which makes it look 10x better. I photoshopped mine with the cross black and it looked funny with the chrome surround.

This is what i was thinking. I see them on ebay all the time for pretty cheap.

Drew, mine was Chrome, I sanded it real good and painted it with spray bombs, lasted 2 yrs until I needed to get my bumper done, then I had my grill, bumper and wing done.

Projectors + HIDs = Not needing the Hellas anymore

Seriously I only use them to flash people.

I think I need some auxiliary lighting. But I don't have room for Hella's behind the grill.

Hmmm....Hey Kevin, you got any ideas? LOL

So your that guy going around flashing people your parts at them for them using their highbeams. Im turning you in!

Dont worry I will be putting them back on shortly. lol

I would if you want to keep it simple. Get a 30inch rigid industries light bar between your tow hooks. And call it a day. Super bright and very sleak.

That grill looks sharp !! nice work

Thanks Man!
