A few folks have asked me what this is and how it works.

About a year ago I heard about adhesive promoter and started checking out this product and folks that had used it before. It can be used on most surfaces and gets any inpurities off the surface to be painted. I tried painting my eyelids without using this as them come primered, but right away the paint started bubbling. So I cleaned it off... added the adhesive promoter, let sit for a few minutes and wiped off the surface. About an hour later applied primer again and walla, paint went on great and smooth. It really IS worth using.

Here is the type that I have.

Very good Jim! Duplicolor also makes some realy good adhesion promoters that are pretty inexpensive. And for metals, Self Etching Primer is also a good adhesion promoter.

The duplicolor adhesion promoter is what i used to prime my engine cover and intake tube. It worked like a charm. I think it's under $5 a can too, so you can't beat it for plastics

Any product that will clean impurities from a surface will make adding paint or chrome or decals that much easier. Great thread Bro.
