Well our desk top was really running slow and started powering it self off a lot, so we took the tower down for check up. Needs a new fan, cleaning and system wipe; lots of viruses. Guy wanted to add some anti virus protection for over $100. Said NO, so bill we be $156.00 WITHOUT THAT!

Tee brought over the laptop for me to use.... just 'til we get the tower back.

I use Avast Free for Virus protection...use to use AVG, but a youtube virus got past it.

The exact same thing happened to me. Swapped over to avast and haven't had a problem since

If you have windows 7 Microsoft security essentials is very good, no problems for me yet

Sorry to here about your computer. You will be buying Tee another one cause she will never be able to use hers again. LOL

I also use a program called Spybot Search and Destroy and Malware Bytes Anti Malware

It is always good practice to use two different programs, with one of them being a firewall

Well I don't know "JACK" About these things... so guess ours will NOT have any protection. I've heard about FREE programs but not sure how to download any of them.
