I got this from another forum, I really like this ride. Poor timing but I could really get excited over this one.

They didn't build a short bed model, it was modified. I was thinking dropped with DR's.on al four corners.

That's the norm, but a dropped 4x4 smoker done up as a sport truck on the strip would be seriously badass not counting a rare run on the street.

A few years back i almost bought a diesel hot boat hauler in AZ that was used to pull boats from Southern Calf to the river. It had been converted to short bed and lower with all the basic upgrade mods. My guess it was making 800 hp and could pull 4000# boat a 100mph all day long. Sitting in a parking lot it looked like a super clean sport truck, no one would have thought it was a diesel.. I just couldn't put the time together to go pick it up. I still think I missed a hell of a deal. My loss.

I've seen video of RCSB with a Cummins. Not stock of course, but it is badass! And Trup's old truck was a 4x4 that was lowered.

The fact is it takes 4x4 to harness the diesel power on the track. The track truck's are totally sick.

Yes Greg, I believe most hot rod diesels that run on the track that are 4x4 all use it while running.

Lee, I agree it takes more traction to get the extra wieght moving. I saw where there are a few running low to middle 11's. Great fun.

I know yours is but what i meant was i never saw a short box regular cab 2500. You drag around a fifth wheel with a short box you must have a slider hitch.

Yep, have a slider hitch. Have never needed it, but it's there.

My Megacab is a short bed/box and I pull a 5th wheel RV with it. I do have a slider hitch too, but have never used it either. My RV helps in that department, the company that makes it has a patented 88-degrees turn ability.

Do your rv's have an extended pin box? I was always told shortbeds and fifth wheels don't play nicely, you don't have the 90 degree capablity but then how many times will you do a 90. I personally prefer a long bed for a hauling/work truck.

Most all kingpins are extended a bit (not much) on RV's these days. And yes, the "rule of thumb" is short beds and 5th wheels don't play nice. But, there are a lot on the road these days. I watched a guy bust both corners of his back window at a small RV park on the beach a few years ago...first side when he arrived and backed in, and the other side when he was leaving, it was a short bed and the park is very tight. I've jacked mine around pretty far, but again mine can turn 88-degrees.

And I wish my Megacab was a long bed, but unfortunately that is a custom conversion and not cheap at all.

VERY NICE! this would be an awesome start to a drag truck. Good thing its 4x4 too, that way you can do the 4x4 launches.
