Here is mine, just a mild lowering right now. 2" Belltech drop coils up front/2" belltech drop shackles out back. Along with a rear Hellwig rear anti sway bar, and Bilstein shocks all the way around.

Looks awesome!

Mine is a first gen Ram D150. Been lowered 11" so far. 6" in the front, 5" in the rear. Lot's of fab work in my suspension.

Thank's for the invite RamStrat! I parked next to your lifted Dodge last night at AleHouse on 60. Your truck look's great!

The first pic is when I first got it down

Ramsport, Im thinking of changing my trucks elevation. I'm looking at a DJM 2"/4" kit. My concern is my tire size. What size tire are you running? Any rub issues? Did you have to cut bump stops?

DJM is a good kit for the money, As far as tire size, I would think you should be alright. I am running 275/60's on 17x9" Indy/SS/T wheels.

Here is an Indy Ram with a 2/4 drop on 20s.

That truck is fukken awesome. Thanks. I might really look in to this. I calculated my tire compared to yours and there's not quite 2" difference.:hmm:

Do you know if there is a difference between years? The DJM website shows a kit for 94-99 and a kit for the 2000. http://www.djmsuspension.com/applications/dodge%20apps.html

What kind of deal?

My buddy has a COMPLETE kit 2/4 for $518.99 thhat is for the 91-2000 Ram...

I can contact him and maybe get you a little better deal that he lists it for....

Maybe he can score you one that is year specific for your truck too...

The DJM 2/4 is $415 w/o shocks or $633 with shocks. If he could come close to that price I may really consider doing this. My tire size kinda concerns me still though. It's like a 31.9 inch tall tire.

Tomorrow I will message him and see exactly what the kit includes, brand and everything else....

I lowered mine 2" in the rear with Ebay drop shackles. They were $50 and looked much better made then the stockers...lol
I plan on getting the front shackles to lower the rear another 2" then lowering the front 2" with lowering springs. Have you noticed any adverse affects from the drop springs?

I'm just afraid it'll move things beyond what the alignment can fix and eat tires to shreds. I also need new shocks as two of them went bad on me about a week ago. Random, but, yeah. I also got a rear sway bar off of a Ram 2500 dually...had to drill holes, but, it fit perfect and I noticed a difference...and for $20 :p

Here's the before after...yes the one pic is flipped...lol
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/BeforeandAfterDrop.jpg

And here it was with the 20"s I ran for about a month. Black steelies :D

http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/DSC05793.jpg

As I said...I'd like to drop it 2" more all the way around, and I think it'd sit perfect.

Also...I'd like to get a larger front sway bar...don't know where or how large though. I wonder if the Extended cabs or the 2500s had larger ones? Oh...and a poly bushing kit.

Also, in 2000, they went to a different front end design similar to what was then used on the Gen 3. Its completley different and uses 2 piston calipers for versus the older single piston, and is supposed to make the ball joints last longer due to the new design...angles...etc.

1994-1999 are all the same.

<< 6" in the front and 5" in the rear on a 235/75/15 tire's... For now. No rub issue's whats so ever. You guy's worried about rubbing on a 2/4 drop,.. Seriously :Wedgie: Lol

Truck looks great, I followed your overhaul when you re painted the whole thing.

No adverse effects with my Belltech drop springs. They are little stiffer than the stockers, but they are not harsh by any means, it really makes it feel more sporty. Still plenty of Alignment, but I went with Belltech for a reason, they are one of the best in the suspension drop business.

Good deal with the rear Swaybar, I just opted for the Hellwig rear sway bar, really heavy duty and it tremendously reduced body roll.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g114/RiggsAlstott3340/Truck/P3260048.jpg

Also wanted to add, there is a much cheaper route to going a 2/4 drop. You do not need to buy 2" drop hangers. You can actually grind the rivets off of the stock hangers, flip them upside down, and that will automatically give you another 2" of drop. So essentially, you only need to buy 2" drop shackes, 2" front drop springs, and rear drop shocks. But, I wanted to keep my Bilsteins (Bilstein doesn't make a drop shock for the 2nd gens), so instead of flipping the front hangers, I just removed the overload spring for around an inch more drop (Thanks JusJay!). So right now I am sitting on a 2/3 drop, almost looks level. Very happy with the new stance (need to get some updated pics).

And off topic, but I just had to post a pic of my new billet grille with bumper inserts. Its not an overlay, had to cutout the original honey comb and fab the billet grille in there, took some work, but i think it came out fairly nice. Next up is headlights.

I wish I could flip threw a website or magazine and buy stuff for my truck :(

Even though my truck is more drastically dropped, when I put the 1 1/8" swaybar on the front and rear, it made a night and day difference. They probably make larger diamiter one's for you guy's though. I want me a set of 3"er's! Front and rear! Lol

The shot of your truck on the black steelies is fucking sexy!!!

What size tires were on the 20"s Majik? Did they rub? I have 3" lift coils on my truck now so if I go with a 2/4 drop I'll really lose more like 5". I may try and trade for some 235/45/20s or something close.

Ramsport the grille looks sweet. I couldnt find any for the sport so I made my own. Still gotta do the bumper part though.

They are whatever the stock size is for the spare of a 2003 Ram 1500 with the 20s...lol Thats what the steels were...the spares :p

But, they rubbed on my truck when I turned all the way, yet, on my dad's Pace Truck (who I borrowed them from), they don't rub. I have no idea what is different about mine. But, they just hit the plastic inner fender...nothing drastic.

And...Ramsport...thanks for the info and the compliments. And, a harsh ride doesn't bother me at all. I just want this truck to handle a little better. I already out ran/handled a 95 Mustang GT in the Pennsylvania twisties with it...but I want better/stiffer :D I actually think it handles better than the Conquest TSI I had...then again, I've driven this truck a lot harder and know it very well. I actually plan on autocrossing it once I get it lowered some more. People think I'm crazy...but, I feel confident I'd impress some people with it. It may be a truck...but, its one tight, road gripping SOB :naughty:

And...the thing I like best, its very predictable. You can tell when the back end is getting loose...if it does get loose (ie...purposley :p ) you pretty much have complete control. Its weird...I never would've dreamed a truck would be like that...but...idk. I think I did read something about the SS/Ts having the 2500 springs in them...which would make it stiffer. I really don't know.

But...my plan is 2" drop spring for the front...and the rear hangers. Your flip idea sounds good...but...I'd have to look at it to understand what you're saying. And, my rear sway bar did make a big difference.

If you want to know where I also noticed a difference...launching from a dead stop. I guess it acts as some sort of traction bar or something, because the truck hardly squats now since I installed it. And, it looks just like your's...only, I need shorter links now that I lowered the rear. It kinda angles down now...lol

Thats what I did for mine. I'm not sure how similar your shock mounts are, but, if they are pretty close...shouldn't be hard at all. I just had to egg the two holes that were already there, a little, and drill four holes in the frame for the links to mount.

The hardest part for me was getting it off of the truck at the junkyard...lol
