Ahh storytime. I'm in a major store in the PI looking for Q-tips. Man I know they have to have Q-tips but everyone I ask give me the standard line"Sorry Sir, out of stock". Which translated means "I have no idea of what you are talking about". So I find a lovely lady and discribe to her in detail what I am looking for. A stick with cotton on the ends to clean babys. No luck, so I ask her "when you have water in your ear how do you get the water out? She says "oh cotton buds" and takes me to a row lined on both sides with Q-tips. So they are not Q-tips, but Cotton Buds. True story,

I learned that you should wait for a motor to cool off before you start wrenching on it, because when you are sitting (Indian-style) under your vehicle, and you shove your hand up and burn it on something, you tend to hit a few more things on the way as you are pulling your hand out and it turns into a burning game of pinball...

There is no sitting under my truck indian style. By the time I have it up on jack stands it is cooled down. lol
If I'm in a hurry I put the floor jack under the hidden trailer hitch and lift the body up about 5" and put 4x4's between the axle and frame. Lower the jack and then I can drive it up on ramps. It's the only time I'm not happy with it being lowered.

If you're ever riding in your truck and the car in front of you is full of elderly white-haired ladies and all you see is part of their white hair sticking above the seat....Q-Tips!

And for the record, I didn't make it up, I don't believe anyway. And it's not meant in a disrespectful way at all.

I wear shorts while riding my motorcycles and often get burnt. But I still do it. Pisses me off, but it's the price I pay.

I do the same, and also get burned doing it...just about every time.
