i think the dak needs some tlc first, it doesnt seem to have the pick up it needs or probably used to have. i can spin the tires no problem, but after that it just seems to lag a bit. maybe im too used to driving the charger :)

This was taken just a couple of weeks ago. I've had the BS flag raised on my 0-60's. Before this the car did a 4.96. These were done with zero wheelspin. I've learned how to launch this car on the street with the stock RS-A's. When the car only had about 2500 miles it ran to 60 in 5.11.

I tried recording mine with a camera and I was getting somewhere between 7-9 seconds (camera was shaky...sound didn't line up...and I could only skip in 1 sec incriments...lol).
But...really not that bad considering all I have is exhaust, a CAI, 153,000 miles, and a horrible squealing noise that follows me whilst leaving from a dead stop. :p

I was cotemplating a few gages, but now I think I'll just wait and buy a A/I w/ srt pod...
That's what I run and it is nice bc it has a lot of functions out of the box plus the ability to add additional sensors.

i want to throw some stock tires on and see what it would do. i dont think it'd be in the 5.0 category with you Teach, but it'd be down there close
I would wager that you could match it if you put stock size tires on.

I have a AF Interceptor gauge and recommend it. I have w/band added to it and am attempting to setup a LP input. I got the sensor (0-300) from the AF folks and bought a Miller adaptor (eBay) to plug everything into the trans. Unfortunately I got the wrong adapter so the install is on hold. Red ran 5.97, 0-60 last year. Hoping for a little more this year.

The green indicator is for the eFan.
Do you have a stock baseline for lp that you are comparing to, or just going based on what te manuals say stock lp should be? I would be very interested to see how much of an actual increase these resistors actually make.
Redtruck-VA
04-11-2011, 08:51 PM
I can pull the resistor to get a base line. I want to get a actual base line before tuning, if not then I'll go by the manual. My goal is to run it around 185 psi in the forward gears fully tuned.

LOL ...It didn't work for either, I'll try to fix it. But it is Friday night May 27th at Richmond raceway. It is street night so should be laid back. I haven't had Red on a 1/4 mile track and am looking forward to it. There is also a GTG at Hooters Saturday at 2:00 pm. All this is posted on RF.

I'll try to get a good baseline run before installing the headers, I'm expecting good things from the headers.
What kind of time are you expecting for your baseline?

My best 0-60mph has been 5.97, after I changed the cat I got a 6.2. So I figure something in the low 6 range.
Redtruck-VA
05-26-2011, 04:56 PM
Well, things didn't work out like I had planned and didn't get a baseline. So now with the headers, dual cats, and cam installed I finally made a couple passes. The problem is shifting. I'm a clutz with the damn lever and can't seem to get a consistant shift. I'm trying for a 6200 shift point but have hit my 6400 limiter a couple of times. The engine is really pulling and I may move the shift point up. My AeroForce shift light is too slow to rely on. Need a shift light and floor shifter to nail the shifts the way I want. Out of 4 runs this is the closest I have to getting it right.
http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6888/img2011052600101.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/img2011052600101.jpg/)
That's a good time. Once you get that shift dialed in you will probably be even faster.

05-26-2011, 05:32 PM
Jason, talk is talk but I feel just getting a decent launch and a shift she'll go 5.3. We will see. I'm trying for Richmond tomorrow but it is not looking good with the weather.

Really old thread, but maybe we can get it back alive!
I used a 0-60 calculator that uses 1/8th mile time and trap speed to calculate 0-60. Putting the numbers in from my 14.56 run a couple weeks ago, it says my truck did it in 5.81 seconds
Here it is if anyone else wants to try it out
