Well I just took my truck out to test it out, the plenum did get rid of the huge air leak it had which is awesome! I just did 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Got 10 flat on 0-60 and 17 on 1/4 mile. Thinking it should be a little faster though, any thoughts?

I dont believe 0-60 times can be used to determine if something is or is not wrong...maybe I am wrong.

Yeah probably not, but the 1/4 mile went down a second so that's something lol I do know that this thing will whoop any chevy or ford that comes in my way!

even 1/4 miles times have too many variables involved to determine if something is wrong...I would believe...

I too would like to think my 318 is one BAMF, but then reality sits in, and I realize it is a stock 318....better than what I had (2.8 Chebby), but she aint no Hemi...

I know I am way late, but never discount the 318. Plenty of options to make it one screaming motor. Aside from the 4.0 straight 6, the 318 will go down as one of Chrysler's most reliable engine, and seeing that it shares the same block with the 273 Commando, 340, and 360 there are still plenty of support for them. That 0-60 time can be brought down quite a bit, but as Adam said, don't use it to judge if something is wrong or not. When I had my overdrive turned off, and I shifted manually (1,2,D) I could consistently get 6.9-7.2 0-60 time on a motor with all stock internals.

Bottom line, have fun with it, it is a strong reliable motor that appreciates subtle bolt on mods. Glad you got the plenum situated. It's a fun and easy motor to work on!
