Hey all! A few of you know I recently sold the Ram Sport in an effort to purchase a Vette. I will say, I definitely miss the ram, and I plan on buying another one in the future. More than likely a 2500 4x4 with a 360 or 488(v10) and NV4500.

However, my dad used to collect cars in the past, and owned 3 corvettes, 67', 78' (Silver Anniversary), and a 91' ZR1. My brother has owned a few as well, including a CTS-V. So it is a rite of passage in my family to buy a Vette.

Anyway, here are some pics.

Here are a few dealer shots

It is equipped with the LT-1 engine, the Z51 performance suspension package, Sport Seat Package, Dual Roof package (glass and color matched), German ZF-6 Speed Transmission, Delco/Bose Audio option. It is a very fun car, and I love it so far 18-20mpg around town, 25-28 out on the highway. I plan on keeping it mostly stock to retain its value. However, I plan on doing a little exhaust work, 2001-2005 Z06 wheels, and some tint.

Just for the record, I'm not strictly a Mopar guy, or a Chevy guy, or a Ford guy. I love and enjoy them all, as long as its American.

Sorry about losing your Ram. But I really like the Vette. Add the No Mopar Badge to your sig. Have fun with your ride. If I hadn't bought my Chally, I was leaning toward a Vette.

Not too shabby! Even I like vettes, especially the 72 model with the Rat and 455 Ft lbs of torque stencilled on the console by the shifter! Enjoy.

Congrats again, Patrick. That is a super clean 'Vette, which is you considering your RAM was one of the cleanest, best looking 2nd Gen's around.

WOW, very impressive looking VETTE!!! Looks like that ONE was really cared for! What year is it? I've owned over 300 cars in my life and still have about 20+ cars (lost count) and have had ONE vette. A 1969 Stingray 427/435 and probably would have killed myself IF I still had it. It was NASTY fast and scary at the same time; could hardly hold it in the road with WOT! Sold it to my daughter; she garaged it ~ never drove it ~ and sold it for a few thousand more than I sold it to her for!

Me... I'm much like YOU... I like most any car... old/new makes no difference!
That is gonna be a GREAT car to cruise in. I still have a FEW other cars in my stable besides the SIX DODGE MAGNUMS.

Matt- Thanks! It will be a DD! It has 92,000 on it, I live in FL, no snow or salty roads. And I generally only put 5-7000 miles a year on my vehicles. It's meant to be driven, and I can assure you it will be well taken care of! Having a clear 3M bra installed sometime soon. You can't even see them and they prevent against bug damage and such.

Lou- Thanks buddy! Hey, different strokes for different folks. Hope your doing well!

Lee- Thanks man!, that means a lot.

Jim- Thanks a lot buddy! That is very impressive about the 69. Those were fun vettes, and extremely ahead of their time compared to other domestics. And that's great your daughter made a little profit. That is the glory of a Corvette. They generally hold their value better than any other mass produced American car. I plan on hanging on to this one for a long time. It is an absolute blast so far. I love everything about it.

Your welcome Patrick no offence intended i love all cars corvettes just never did any thing for me. There is a guy at work who had two same body style as yours he sold one and the other is a special one they only made a limited number of suppose to be very fast and his insurance is higher than a normal one, said he was thinking about selling it due to he doesn't drive it much.

The nastiest vette is the lingafelter, I'm sure I spelled that wrong but it was a twin turbo 454 c4 vette, straight nasty

Nice looking Corvette, I used to have a 88 C4 along with my 2 Jeeps. But I sold the corvette and the older Jeep to buy a brand new Rubicon and what a mistake that was.... Sigh. The Corvette was a gift from my Mother for saving her life and I should of NEVER sold it. But money was tight then and she understood. Anyways... Congrats and I defiantly 2nd getting another Ram.

Nice Vette!!! I thought about buying one but getting in & out from the wheelchair was going to be hard plus no room for the wheelchair. So I bought the Charger SRT8 and I have no regrets. Like you, I love all muscle cars except for the newer mustangs. Don't care to much for them, they are a dime/dozen and they always want to race. When they loose only one out of 10 may give you the thumbs up, the others won't even look your way.

Vette owners on the other hand give you the thumbs up whether they win or loose. A friend of mine has a late 90's vette with a 383 stroker but he was unable to beat me. But darn does new z06 they are freaking fast.LOL. Enjoy your new ride.

Thanks everyone! The Mopar crowd has always, and will always be the most die hard for their brand. That's why it means a lot getting respect from all the Mopar guys.

I hear you Jaime, I am in a predominately Ford family, which is fine. The new 5.0, Shelby, and Boss 302 crowd are a different story. They are true car guys just like the rest of us and respect everything.

My father is a die hard Ford guy. But he has owned 3 corvettes in the past. If Ford were to make something comparable to a Corvette for around the same price, I would have gone that route. The viper is a hell of a car, but a Z06 will have no problems with an SRT10 Viper for 20-30 grand less. Same goes for the Ford GT, it will easily take on the SRT10 and Z06, out handle them both, and cruise at 160mph feeling like your only going 50. But for over 150 grand?

Point is, Chevy has always been on to something with the Corvette. You get A LOT of performance for the money. Not talking about stop light to stop light either. It's a combination of the handling, breaking, and the entire feel of the car. Fully independent suspension, pushrod V8, 96" wheel base, 3,300 pound 2 seat car. Hell, they have beaten Ferrari for over a decade at Sebring now. Point is, that was my justification.
