What are your other hobbies?

Aside from the obvious hobby of being an SEM member, What are some of your other favorite things to do on the weekend or just enjoy doing on a regular basis.

I'll start this off and say some of my favorite things to do are ride bicycles with my girlfriend, some occasional hunting( not as often as I'd like), shooting guns in general, being on or in the water somewhere, and riding motorcycles. My latest acquisition is this awesome Florida plated KLX650D.

As a old man, my energies aren't what they use to be so my fast toys are going away. But my favorite thing to do is explore the back country of the Philippines. I have a 86' Yamaha XT600 that does a pretty good job of the rough country. I am hoping to get a couple more years out of it. And by far is my favorite mode of transportation.

We snorkel and wreck dive alot. Horseback alot. Drink alot. Street race. Surf when the tide's right and were out snorkleing or some shit. Work on the vehicle's. Shop like a idiot. Spend money.

Steve, those models are indeed awesome. I used to build a ton of them with my uncle before he passed away a few years ago. I have a whole collection of cars we built together, but they have been damaged by moves and such. Greg that ole XT is a gem, I would love to take a few weeks off and go riding with no destination in the world. Jeff, I love snorkeling too, we float the rainbow river up here by us and snorkle the whole thing.

the rainbow river is so badass...we went late last year and are hoping to go again before November

Now I have been on the Ichetucknee. My aunt and uncle live near there and my cousin lives on the banks of the Santa Fe, just a few hundred yards from where the Ichetucknee dumps into it.

I did the ichetucknee one time and hated it. the first part was awesome but about halfway down all the dead and fell trees were poking us in the ass. It is one of the prettiest rivers to look at but I wont ever float it again. Have you ever been up to Troy springs on the suwannee? that place is cool.

And Adam, there are shorter floats in the Ichetucknee, more than one place to put in and get out.

Well my other hobbies include being an astrophysicists in search of home planets of alien life forms. Documenting sexual behavior of indigenous mountain tribes in remote areas of Southeast Asia. Investigating the various levels of impairment induced by the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Investigating the limits of exploitation of free trade of goods and the specific tune required to start a one cylinder motorcycle on a single stroke of it’s kick starter. Life is very fulfilling. .

Oh I love a good time, drums in the background, the smell of roasting pig, giggles from the shadows. The dancing around the fire, the occasional slip of the grass skirt. Really exciting, just got to be careful not to dance to damn close to the fire.

Rainbow gets pretty deep in some areas, you cant walk much of it like you can the Itchetucknee. They are doing some work on the tubers exit and you werent able to do the full 4 hour float for some time. I dont know if they are done yet but the state park side is alot shorter float and not nearly as good as the K.P. hole float.

We have raised Quater Horses and Appaloosa's for the past 20 years and showed them in competition. Horses and horse power.......LOL
