Ok before I say anything, let me say that I took the time to look around me as I was driving to the spot. I made sure NO ONE was around me. So here we go: Even with the plenum leaking, this truck is dam fast! I put it to the floor and got it to 102 :pedobear: It would've got to 115 in no time but I stopped, I am just suprised by how well it actually ran! What's weird to is the 0-60 is getting faster... might be cause of a slight downhill I hit or something. I got 11 seconds. Didn't get the 1/4 mile for some reason, but oh well. Once again let me say I was very cautious

Your truck is coming together. Be careful when hot dogging it. You never know who is watching.

To reduce wear and tear on your ride and danger over all, I use 0-60 mph pulls to tune. In my area the critters like to jump into the road.

Nice! Wonder how much faster it's gonna get with the new plenum. I hit the 106 speed limiter all the time and it sucks cause I get there so quick :/

not really unless u do some weight reduction

ramthis9501

Is 11 seconds fast? If i could get it to 9 i would be happy!

No. Diesels do it in under 9, power wagon does it in a little under 8, and most older rams did it in under 11 (based on this, http://www.zeroto60times.com/Dodge-0-60-mph-Times.html ) Mine is in the mid to high 5s

AWE Daniel

Colton my 0-60 is around 7 so you would need 100 more hp to get it there, a plenum repair ain't gonna give you anything

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 06:02 PM
Im thinking if i can get it to 9 that'll be pretty good, the plenum repair has to do some good. I would think it would run alot better when im not burning oil in my intake. One of the symptoms of a plenum leak is power loss, think i have a bit

AWE Daniel
07-07-2011, 06:15 PM
It ain't gonna magically give you 2 seconds

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 06:16 PM
It might lol just gonna have to wait and see!

ramthis9501

Think its possible i lost 40 hp with the plenum leak? The app on my phone reads hp to and its only saying like 190

AWE Daniel
07-07-2011, 06:22 PM
Your drivetrain will take about 30% of your power before it gets to the wheels, that's why the app reads low. I have about 345hp but prob only 290 to the wheels.

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 06:26 PM
I think it reads at the flywheel though

AWE Daniel
07-07-2011, 06:29 PM
I don't think that is possible while the motor is in the truck

Hmm well like i said, i definatly have power loss, so I'll just have to test it out after the plenum repair

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 06:42 PM
Well ok then but still im expecting it to run better after the plenum

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 06:55 PM
Just googled it and its actually only about 15-18% loss. Even 20% is only about 40 hp which would put me in the high 190's with the cai and exhaust. My phone has even said like 180 something before to

AWE Daniel
07-07-2011, 07:02 PM
Every vehicle is different, trucks aren't the most efficient in getting the power down, trup dyno tested his new truck with 390 and only got 306, they are all different

ramthis9501
07-07-2011, 07:19 PM
Yup so like i said, just have to wait and test it again after the plenum fix

AWE Daniel
07-07-2011, 07:24 PM
Yup I hope it runs better for ya
