Another find on LXFORUMS...

Want to change the color of your interior backlighting?

The guy that does this seems to mostly do LX's - but he's experimented with other vehicles - He's done a Jeep, and is working on a Chally. I don't know what the prices are like, I've got an inquiry in now to change everything in my car out to blue.

From what I've read, the only downside is, you have to send your stuff out to him in Cali, and he does the work and ships it back. I'll let you know more as I hear back.

i changed all mine to blue but some of the experts cant get it perfect. if i had the time and knowledge i would do boards to eliminate hotspotting. there is a guy on shaggys tahoe forum that makes it look stock and he does every light in the vehicle. i need to change the ones on the window switches

they really arent bad. daniel did his as well using the cool whit so the red would still show on his guages, blue led will not light up red. the have the high output bulbs with a wider display angle and they cost 1.00 more per bulb. might cost around 36 bucks to do the dash, hvac, light switch and overhead. more if you do the 4x4

if you want i can post the diy made by jchula on dt just upgrade the bulbs, they didnt have the high output when he wrote it. he even did his stock stereo, the write up is on dt but i got his permission to share it.

Those are pretty cool, but seems the changeover would be a long process.

^ that's it? i figured it would take an hour to pull the instrument cluster apart to get to the bulbs. that's not bad at all.

I just heard back from the guy that does it, he said for a complete charger kit in blue, it's 250 with an approximate 2 week turnaround on the parts. I'm waiting to hear back from him if he can do the trucks or not
