thats the truck, i can prolly get it for way less than asking, because thats my buddys uncles dealership.

anyways, i dont know if the Hemi upgrade is one I should make or not?

i know ill get more out of the hemi with my sc3815, but what exactly?
what are common problems with the hemi?
what upgrades help it?

any and all info on a 4wd 5.7 hemi would be great. thanks guys

Other than the infamous hemi tick that I can't hear if I have had I have never had a problem with either of my hemi rams. My 05 was a 4x4 that handled everything that the western slope of Colorado could throw at t for 2 years with no problems. My current 04 has 115,000 and runs like a champ with only pm done. My only complaint would be the exhaust, I burn a lot of gas to hear it roar. I love my hemi truck and would only trade it for another hemi truck if I ever needed to

The miles are low, if you could talk him down it would be awesome.

ya, id talk to my buddy, and see what kind of deal we could do with cash, hes a relatively high volume dealer so we shall see

whats this power wire and line pressure booster that ive been reading about?

Wow, that is a nice truck ~ Good Luck!

Power wire is a 4.7k resistor that tricks the computer into thinking the internal air temperatue is cooler by 20* +/- by slowing the current. Very easy to make with about 10.00 worth of stuff. Horsepower is gained at wot so dailey driving is unaffected I used to have pics of my hyper pac where the iat dropped by 23* when I plugged it in

The sonnex supposedly gives your firmer shifts, I haven't tried that one yet but teach has it.

You can buy either one pre made plug and play or save yourself some coin and make either at home with minimal wire splicing, which I don't mind doing on my rides

hmmm... ok. ill look into those for sure.

i think i might step up to a hemi anyways, as i now see that the rim/tire combo i want is only about $2k to my door mounted and balanced.

i was looking for the 98-01 off road package, but thats not a big deal now that i see the hemis are more common now, not to mention the added features with my 3815, and no more plenum pan issues.

My uncle has an 07 Mega, his prob has about 14K miles on it, he bought it new. I love driving it. You would think that with as large as the truck is, it would be kind of doggish, but it's actually far from it. His hemi will put you back in your seat a tad...and it's stock and completely unmolested.

ya, i think its time to buy a hemi. less problems, more power, and more room.

True that. How do the hemis do with 3.92 gears and 33x12.5-17s?

Beautiful truck. Good luck with the purchase.

IMO, the Mega would be the one I would pick. The first one has a 8 ft bed and would be longer than the Mega. Those mega's are big trucks.
Good luck..

I think mine has 3.55s, and I had 31s on 17s, but I could break those loose without even thinking about it.

i had 33s all terrains on mine. i would barely touch the pedal and it would be sideways lol

but i was cammed, tuned, and exhaust lol :D

Mega cab FTW!!!!

I don't see a hemi ram on the first link (in the OP), just a red RCSB 3.7l.

The biggest difference between the 4.7 & 5.7 is that the 4.7 only has 8 spark plugs as the 5.7 has 16 spark plugs. The 4.7 is a very reliable engine and gets a little bit better mileage. I own a 5.9 and it is a monster. I have a heavy duty 4x4 so my mileage is terrible, but the 5.9 will never let you down.

i think ive settled on the 05 hemi, as i wish i woulda waited a little longer to buy a truck with the 5.9 as opposed to my 5.2. the 16 plugs dont really bother me too much, the champions are only 2 bucks a piece anyways. so $32 for plugs aint bad.

Redtruck-VA

I believe down the road if and when you decide to sell the truick you will find the hemi will have held it's value more than the 4.7. Always comes down to what the deal is when buying and if you feel you are getting the best value for your dollar. Goood luck..

5.9L FTMFW

except when you make too much torque and blow up the torque converter and than blow the tranny

but thats why you get a higher/ better stall/.converter and better internals

so whom ever gets my old truck will be getting an amazing tranny
