Last night my wife was complaining of severe chest pains. We rushed her to the emergency room. A short time later they admitted her and started running all kinds of tests. We were scared because her mom passed from heart failure when she was 16. And they say that stuff runs in the family. I just got her home. She is scheduled for a stress test in a few days. All the test say she is alright, but they found that her potassium levels were dangerously low. They think that is what caused the trouble. Just glad to have her home and be okay.

My wife hates to take pills, so the kids have been on WebMD trying to find out what fruits & vegetables have potassium in them. There seems to be quite a few choices.

A couple aunts of mine have low potassium. Their doctors told them to eat a banana every day.
