Neighbor did it for 120 bucks..took off the step bar holders as well. It would have cost me 190 not including tax if i went to the shop to get this done..

What brand cutout is it? Raceland? I am just guessing that brand bc I remember reading in the past about racelands having sealing issues.

when its clicking that means its already closed u are holding the button to long.

raceland is good but mine was broke when i traded in the truck

I tap the button to close it and it shuts and then clicks like 4 times and then i hit it again and it seals

Mine does not do that, I wonder if your relay box is busted or something.

02Steve1990
06-04-2011, 09:25 PM
relay box as in the black control module? the clicking is coming from the motor trying to seal the valve

AWE Daniel
06-04-2011, 09:26 PM
Damn that sucks sounds like you got a bad valve or motor or something.

Yeah thats the damn kicker right there, I would contact raceland and demand a replacement and money for the install. Damn thing is like 4 days old right?

It would probably be easier to just swap the motor out on the side than having yours cut out and the new one welded in. There's just 3 or 4 screws that holds the motor onto the cutout

Nice! I'm sure your loving the sound difference. I don't keep my open that often, because it tends to stir up to much attention, like LEO's. :)

Just read, that sucks! Should be easy enough to replace the motor with the butterfly.

seems like it stopped doing it, so i will just leave it alone unless it starts going nuts like that again...had to close it late last night and it closed with the first press and didnt make the clicking noise..

Check your electrical connections if it starts doing it again. When I got mind, I hooked it straight to a battery and it did something similar. Only, I'd have to hit the open button twice to get it to open
