Extra hid parts, I have hids in my new fogs, but need the stuff to power them, I'm guessing ballasts and proper resistors, if any one has extra or old stuff that works let me know PLEASE, and look for new thread with pics coming soon...

I'm sure that's the best I'll find, I don't really know what they go for, JJ has whole kits for 80 and hid extra has em for what 50 so the cheaper the better to keep me outta hot water....:)

Jay what are you going to do for the headlights? You know they call me Mothman for a reason.

Buy some on eBay prolly, they are good priced for a black housing headlight with new clear lens...

I was thinkin of a set of night vision from Todd at retrosolutions, for my heads, and ballasts are cheaper than I thought, when buying just a ballast or 2, are they new Daniel or used ? I found a new set for 30 shipped...

I believe with the night vision ones you still need resistors. I have a how to on here with a like of premade resistor harness that work with the bixenon kits. If the night vision ones are hid low halogen high all you need is cap packs.

I just found whole kits for like 28.99 are they gettin cheaper or just crappy fog hids I'm finding? These are fog kits I'm looking up....

yes the fog kits can be as cheap as possible because our trucks dont monitor the fogs. Ddmtuning for example sells cheap kits and so does ebay. :)

This is why I've waited so long, so many kits so many issues with diff brands jeez, I guess it's easy with fogs with heads I'll be pickier that's why I wanted todds nightvisions cause he seems to have great cs and a lifetime warranty

That's one of the bad things about the newer Ram's. The headlights are controlled by the PCM but not the fogs. That's why people have issues with the headlights flickering or not working at all. The lower power draw from hid's really confuses the truck lol. Resistors works to some extent but you'd be better off buying a kit from retrosolutions that are made for these trucks

Jay those ballast and kits that are crazy cheap are the huge magnetic ballasts (even though they say digital).

Just my personal experience I have gotten 3 kits with those huge clunky ballasts and every time one of them showed up dead or broke almost immediately. If you want quality stuff stay away from ebay. The only hid components I would buy from ebay are the bulbs, I havent seen any difference in those.

I really dont care about the money, Honestly I would rather give these to you than to see you buy that cheap crap from ebay.

okay now my next thought....today alex said they are 5k, im going 6k in my heads should i bother to change them out to 6k to match they are tinted so its gonna be a shade different too, should i just keep what i got and use Daniel's ballasts or when i do buy my HIDs for my heads do both?....opinions

5K are more yellow. 6K are pure white with a slight blue tint and 8K are blue...

I have 6K in both my vehicles....Next time I see ya, we can hook up your fog in one of mine and we can compare the 5k to the 6k

You can get bulbs on ebay for less than 10$, only thing i would do is buy both sets of bulbs from the same place so you know they will match.

i know the colors, im just askin if my 6k in my heads are gonna be a full 6k does it really matter in my fogs as they are tinted....the tint will change the color, no matter what...is really my thinking....
