After some tests here locally at our VA Hospital they have scheduled me to see the Duke Medical Center heart doctors at the VA Hospital in Durham tomorrow morning. I'm really dreading this and after seven heart surgeries already think I'd be used to it, however the last one was a couple of years ago now and surely hoped there would be no more. I get out of breath a lot after any kind of activity and guess they want to check that out. If all goes well, I'll be back home tomorrow evening and IF NOT I'll be stuck up there.
I'm actually more worried about Tee having to get a hotel by herself up there IF I have to stay.
Thank GOD, I have her by my side!
Some "MOJO" from the SE Mopar Family would surely be appreciated!

Jim, scary stuff for sure. I'm a old coot and haven't had any problems and of course count myself very fortunate. But many of my friends have had the various bypass surgeries and they are doing fine. Most all of these surguries are routine anymore. But my thoughts go with you. Take care...

Thank YOU ALL for the kind words, wishes and MOJO! Spent all day doing yard work and really didn't mind that too much, but I had to cut down four tree limbs that were broken from the storm. Now I'm pooped. Just wanna get up there and get this over with. Hopefully they'll just check me out and send me back home.... we'll see!!! I'll post up tomorrow after I know something!
Again thanks to my SEMOPAR family for the support ~ Means a lot!!!

Yesterday pretty much wore me out... after the two hour trip up and all the yard work from the day before. Guess it was pretty good news actually. From what the Heart Doctor told Tee and I, it appears that the medicine I'm taking is doing what it is supposed to do. Anyhow, she aske me about a million questions writing everything down and told me that she was going to have an ultrasound on my heart so I had to stay for a couple of hours and get that done. She said the next step would be that this will be checked out and see IF anything might be causing my breathing problems. They would call me with the results in a couple of days.
After the two hour trip back home.... I was so exhausted I just sat on the couch worn out... didn't even go outside and that surely is NOT like me. Feeling better today and hope to get out later today. And not being on the forums is NOT like me either ~ LOL~
Thanks for everyone's well wishes I got to come right back HOME!

Jim, it is good you got all the test behind you. It's stressful to go through all of it and I know when I get up early anymore it calls for a nap later in the day. You will probably hear what I hear all the time and that's you need to walk everyday. Good luck..

Glad to hear the news was pretty good. They sent you home the same day and that is a positive sign. Maybe you should only work on the wagons 18 hrs a day and not 24 hrs a day. LOL

medicine has come along way. if it haven't i would have died almost 2 years ago from my heart bleeding out. but i still have the giant emergency surgery scar when they finally gave up and cracked open my chest.
I've had well over 15 surgeries and i dread every single one of them until i wake up in recovery.
what your feeling is natural, even a little thing like foot surgery will make you feel it.
our collective prayers are with you sir.
